Our fifth trip to the Dales, second stay at Fellside. We’ve had another fantastic week visiting old haunts. Fantastic walks along the river to the Strid and Bolton Abbey. Will be back as soon as work allows!

Our first visit to the cottage but hopefully not our last! Cottage is warm and very comfortable and beautifully cared for. We felt very much at home. Certainly hope to come again.

The Loweries, London. December 2010.

Once again in Appletreewick our favourite place in the Dales, lovely river Wharfe, lovely riverside walks. Cottage is glorious,  lovely wood fire, lovely homely feeling to the cottage. Good places to visit: Grassington, Pateley Bridge, lovely pie shop Kendalls and chippie. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here will be back soon. Enjoyed every minute. Cottage is spotless. Thanks for having us.

The Wilsons, Liverpool. November 2011

Our second visit to the Dales but our first to Appletreewick. Perfect cottage in a perfect location. Surprised ourselves by our ability to walk Trollers Ghyll, The Strid, Malham Cove, Brinham Rocks and all the way up Pendle Hill! Pie night at The New Inn- incredible. Great pub which always seemed full of locals- always a good sign. Our stay was enhanced by Pluto (the next door dog) who always is eager to play! The only downside- and it wasn’t the end of the world- no mobile/internet signal.

The Mages, Norfolk, October 2010

Lovely cosy cottage in a truly beautiful area. Loved the riverside walks, Burnsall, Grassington and all the fabulous views. Found Hebden suspension bridge which is worth a walk across if not a bit scary?! Had a lovely week, weather slightly mixed with one or two drizzly but on the whole very good with lots of sunshine. Lots of good food and lots of lovely walks, what more could you want?!!

Jo & Richard Warrington and Peggy & Jim Warrington East Yorks. October 2010

Our first visit to the Yorkshire Dales and what a fantastic place it is. We were very lucky with the weather dodging the showers here and there. Cottage is very comfy and homely and in a lovely spot. The walks are fantastic, our dogs must have thought they were in paradise. Our favourite pubs was The Craven Arms, food was very good (try the Black Witch!)

Just wanted to say whilst it's fresh in my mind what a great time we had at Fellside.

We thought the house was charming and it was great to see your book of photos - it felt like a real home to us.  We made the usual mistake of trying to see/do too much whilst in one area - next time we will concentrate on the immediate vicinity. So much to see and do, we must go back.  Sue and Ken Greathead Birmingham June 10
